Virtual Orientation Feedback
Thank you for your fantastic participation on our parent orientation last night. Please be reminded of the following that teachers should have shared with you:- Students who are picked up early for appointments will not be permitted to return to the building that day even if the child is in CASPER.
- To reduce traffic and the possible spread of COVID parents will not be permitted to bring lunch or water bottles to the building for students who left these items behind. Since lunch is free for all students this year, the children will be fed if they forgot to bring it with them. If there is a medical concern for your child, please ensure you have communication with the nurse to address their needs.
- In order to support smoother entry/dismissal, please do not engage in conversations with the teacher during drop off or dismissal. Please set up time via email to meet virtually.
- We appreciate your trust to have your child here for school. We need you to allow your children to walk with their class into the building. Say goodbye outside and help their independence by doing so.
- Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we fight the spread of disease, together.
- Any questions/concerns should be directed to Mr. Stanton.

Could your child be sick? Contact Nurse Stone (on leave 9/21-11/1) & Nurse Managault
Please review this diagram to help you decide when you should send your child to school. If your child stays home, you must contact Ms. Coleman and Nurse Stone (on leave 9/21-11/1) & Nurse Managault.
The Jersey City Public Schools District Nurse has developed a comprehensive informational powerpoint. Included is guidance for coming to school, traveling, vaccinations and much more.

COVID Concerns, Quarantine and Close Contact
Anyime your child is out for anything medical, please make sure you contact Nurse Managault (tbrown3@jcboe.org) and Ms. Coleman (dcoleman@jcboe.org).
If a any individual has COVID, thorough contact tracing happens through the Nurse. Close contacts within the school are then established. Please remember that close contact is defined as 15 minutes without a mask and not distanced (3 feet).
If an individual is in school and is positive for COVID and close contacts are identified as students, parents will receive notification of that from the nurse directly. This information will include days they should quarantine and the nurse will continue to check in daily with the students.
Once a student is told to quarantine by the nurse, they will need to look at Google Classroom for details of instruction while at home. The first day, the student should receive asynchronous instruction through assignments on Google Classroom. After that, students can zoom into class and continue to check Google Classroom for details of instruction.
